November 2017 Net Worth

I might not experience the leaves changing down here in south Florida, but I love November. There’s something about the holiday season that gives me joy. I also love the beginning of the month because it means a new net worth update! Lets jump right into how I’m growing my net worth.

Although I love and believe in every product I talk about, I have to mention that some links on this page lead to affiliates which could result in compensation for me.

Here is where I stand as of November 1st, 2017

Growing My Net Worth in November!
Let’s be thankful for the successes in our journeys this month!

TOTAL NET WORTH: $237,664.10 (+3678.05)

The Break Down

The Good Stuff (Assets):

Liquid Accounts

Checking: $151.52 (-$1336.48)
Nothing exciting here, just for the bills.

Savings (Emergency Funds):$2324.07 (+$103.07)
Things are going to get better this month, and might take a hit in future months unfortunately.

Traditional IRAs: $78,016.68  (+$2532.68)
I love these IRAs!

Brokerage: $5,520.03 (+$279.03)

RobinHood: $28.26  (+$28.26)
I can’t complain. This account is strictly from signing up and referring others. Check it out if you haven’t and you’ll receive a free stock. Just click here. You don’t even have to add your own money!

Lending Club: $994.63 (-$5.37)
Not the best start for the experiment, but im not too worried. One guy decided to be delinquent in his loan. If you want to check it out to see if it fits your portfolio, just click here.

401k: $8830.41  (+$631.31)
Currently Contributing 6.5% but raising it every year.

Real Estate

I increase these by 2% a year, but I divide it equally monthly.

Value of Primary: $301,454 (+$494)
The last appraisal actually came in at $358,000, but I like to be conservative with real estate prices to factor in realtor commissions (If I ever sold it).

Value of Investment Property: $145,435 (+$238)
This is probably one of my best-performing investments. I will take a look back at its performance at the end of the year.

The Bad Stuff (Liabilities):

Loan on Primary: $215,145.46 (+$407.54)

Loan on Investment Property: $89,945.04 (+$304.96)

Other Stuff (Not Included in Net Worth):

My Spending Accounts

These accounts are spending money so they are not included in my net worth. These are things I budget for so they don’t come out of my regular budget. Most of them are joint accounts that my wife and I contribute to.

Date Night Account: $365.20
Went to the movies and checked out a new restaurant last month!

Traveling Account: $300.00
St. Augustine, FL is coming up this month! First vacation with the baby!

My Not-So-Impulsive Purchases: $546.53
My next purchase will be a couple of suits for work 🙁

House Remodeling Account: $1429.92
Decided to do some landscaping soon. That and paint the roof of the house before the year ends… After that, the only thing the front of the house will be missing is a new fence, but that might be a while.

Investment Property Emergency Fund: $3,536.80
Something broke 🙁 Had to pay out over $250 because of A/C Problems.

The Results

October was a great month! My Net Worth rose $3678.05!!

My annual growth goal is 12.25% (established back in 2012) and at this point I think  I might double it! Let’s see how November treats me.

Check out how to figure your net worth out (And why it matters!) And be sure to check out my other Net Worth reports, and which of the 7 Income Streams contribute to my net worth!

Looking good! +1 on loving November! This reminds me, I got off track and was supposed to calculate net worth today. Let’s see what the increase will be!

I get excited on the 1st to see how I did the month prior lol. And with compounding interest doing what it does, ive had some easy autopilot months lately!

Cant wait to check yours out, thanks for commenting!

Wow great job! I like your travel and date night account! Then you won’t feel bad going for ‘date night’ knowing that you budgeted for it. Also, kudos for going on date night with a 4-5 month old!? 🙂 I haven’t been able to go on any big outings without the baby for more than 2 hours haha.

5 Months today! And we’ve really only had two dates without him lol. Each one wasn’t longer than 3 hours either. He comes with us on our other dates now! Threes company too right??

Yes 🙂 We haven’t really brought him to too many restaurants because we worry he’ll start wailing. But we found out FOOD COURTS work for us because the background noise is so loud, if he starts screaming no one can hear him LOL. We’ll try for more formal restaurants soon.

Weirdly enough, my baby loves being in loud environments. Take him to a party or restaurant and he falls asleep until we leave.

Ooh its great to see your numbers climbing!

Try do more date nights! Sometimes mommy and daddy need some quality time together. It’s hard when you baby is still young but sometimes it’s needed to reconnect. Plus, the grandparents will always be happy to watch him lol.

Yeah I guess we still don’t know how to balance it. We have a ton of people we trust with the baby, it just sometimes feels wrong to leave him behind. This month we might do two outing without him so let’s see how that goes…
